Nature Study Programme

I can bring my seasonal nature study programme to you. This is most suited to EYFS and Primary settings, and I recommend booking a regular series of sessions to get the most out of the programme. It is the perfect way to enhance your curriculum and outdoor learning goals.

Seasonal themes

Each week introduces children to a different nature theme to focus on. From rocks to mud, nesting birds to moon phases, plant life cycles to animal habitats - we cover a lot of ground throughout the year building on their knowledge and understanding of the natural world, increasing vocabulary and instilling a lifelong love of nature.

Hands-on activities

Activities are designed to allow elements of choice, be open-ended and child-led. All the different areas of effective learning are covered in each session, and we regularly introduce children to meaningful tool work. Children have opportunities to grow from seed, get creative with crafts and explore sensory play trays.

Engaging format

Children get moving right from the start with Sunny the Squirrel's warm up stretches! We chat about our theme for the session, go over safety rules and then get stuck into playing. We regroup for a movement activity or scavenger hunt, then come together for a topical story at the end before we say goodbye to Sunny until next time.

Session fees

£60/session for up to 20 children

An additional materials fee may apply for extra children.
Please note that sessions are designed so that your team can still get involved and engage with the children as they usually would. Supervision may be required around loose parts or other activities.
